Tagging as association instead of categorization

Anne 2.0 points out an interesting series of essays on tagging on Rashmi Sinha's blog. Rashmi is a cognitive psychologist, and she provides some good reasons why tagging is different from categorization. This is a distinction I try to make whenever I promote tagging to someone.
